From YouTube Rabbit Holes to My First Book: The Story Behind "The Spooky Nights of Three"

There is something undeniably magnetic about the unknown. Like so many in our generation, I found myself captivated by the world of real-life paranormal mysteries, late-night eerie encounters, and the endlessly intriguing corners of YouTube dedicated to dark lore. The more I explored these real-life horror stories, the more I wondered: What if I channeled this atmosphere into a world of my own making?

That spark led directly to my debut book, The Spooky Nights of Three. While those online horror deep-dives provided the initial atmosphere, the core of the narrative came straight from my own imagination, heart, and creative drive. Shaping those raw ideas into a full-fledged book was an incredible journey—and holding the final result in my hands felt surreal.

Life after the launch: A whole new chapter

Publishing my first book has transformed my daily life in ways I couldn't have anticipated. The response from friends, family, and relatives has been overwhelmingly warm. Receiving so much encouragement, blessings, and genuine affection from those around me has been a humbling experience.

It’s one thing to write a story in private; it’s entirely another to share it with the world and see people connect with your work. That sudden shift in perspective—going from a reader to a published author—has given me a renewed sense of purpose and confidence.

Beyond the pages: The rest of my world

While storytelling occupies a huge part of my mind, my interests span across several entirely different fields. When I am not drafting stories or brainstorming plot points, you will usually find me in one of a few places:

  • On the chessboard & cricket field: I am an avid chess player and a passionate fan of cricket. I draw huge inspiration from players who bring flair, resilience, and power to the game—like Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan.
  • Driven by numbers: Mathematics has been a deep passion of mine since my kindergarten days. Over time, that early fascination evolved into a love for high-grade mathematics and complex problem-solving.
  • A love for languages & music: Languages fascinate me endlessly. I enjoy exploring tongues from all over the globe, including English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Russian, German, Georgian, Hebrew, and Spanish. Paired with my affinity for music—especially classical traditions—I love singing and performing songs across different languages.
  • Exploring the world: I have a deep curiosity for general knowledge and global cultures, matched only by a drive to travel. One day, I plan to explore every corner of the world.

For me, all these disciplines feed off each other. Math sharpens the logic behind plot structures, music builds rhythm in narrative flow, and learning languages deepens my understanding of different cultures and perspectives.

Looking ahead: Expanding the horizon

The Spooky Nights of Three was a thrilling first step, but it is only the beginning. I am currently conceptualizing my next manuscript, which will take a bold step into the realm of science fiction.

With this upcoming project, I want to expand my horizons—or as we say in Hindi, मैं अपना दायरा बढ़ा रहा हूँ. My goal is to craft a more mature, intricate, and serious narrative designed to resonate across all age groups, offering a story that speaks to every reader, everywhere.

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Spooky Nights of Three. I’m excited to bring you along for the next adventure!
